During the Dynamics4Business hackathon, our consultants took on the challenge of building a working application in a single day. In multidisciplinary teams, they worked on a smart solution for a fictitious service company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The assignment was to develop a solution for a fictional service company that still manages its scheduling using Excel and phone calls. The result? Inefficient routes, double-booked appointments, and limited communication with customers.

It's up to the teams to make this smarter. For example, with a graphical planning app connected to Business Central and Dataverse, using up-to-date data from the ERP system. One requirement: the solution had to be developed as a Power Apps code app.

No lengthy development processes, but straight to the core: from idea to working prototype and a convincing pitch. During a quarterly meeting, all teams presented their solution and a vote was held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the winners are\u2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Both the jury and colleagues chose the solution by Jeannot Thewissen, Ivo Hensgens, and Frank Raemakers as the winner. Their planning app combined a strong data connection with a user-friendly design and a convincing demonstration. A fine example of what happens when different disciplines collaborate on a practical issue.
