Our colleagues Jerry Suiker and Jim Boer attended the European Power Platform Conference (EPPC) 2026 in Copenhagen. This leading Microsoft event focused on AI, Copilot, Agents, and the Power Platform. In this blog, they share the four key insights from EPPC 2026 and explain what they mean for organizations that want to be future-ready.
Artificial Intelligence was the talk of the town during the European Power Platform Conference (EPPC) 2026 in Copenhagen. Not as a hype or future vision, but as a self-evident part of software development. Yet, something else stood out in particular. Virtually every keynote, session, and discussion wasn't about more AI, but about the question of how organizations can implement AI safely, manageably, and future-proof. The technology is developing at breakneck speed, but precisely because of that, topics like governance, security, architecture, and cost control are becoming increasingly important.
After three days full of keynotes, breakout sessions, and conversations with Microsoft specialists and the international Power Platform community, we're taking away four insights that we believe will make a difference in the coming years.
AI has matured
Where AI was primarily seen as something to experiment with a few years ago, it is now an integral part of software development. During EPPC, it was clearly visible that AI no longer just supports the developer, but is increasingly playing an active role in the entire development process.
This development is also visible within the Microsoft Power Platform. AI not only helps with writing code but is increasingly supporting analysis, planning, testing, and solution management.
This also shifts the role of consultants and developers. It's increasingly less about building every line of code yourself and more about making the right choices, guiding organizations, and designing reliable solutions.
2. Vibe Coding is impressive, but not without guardrails
Another prominent theme during EPPC was the rise of so-called Vibe Coding. Platforms that generate complete applications based on natural language are currently sprouting up like mushrooms. This makes software development more accessible and faster than ever before.
At the same time, it was emphasized during multiple sessions that speed alone is not enough. Without attention to security, identity, governance, and compliance, new risks arise.
That is precisely why we see great value in the direction Microsoft is taking. With developments such as Power App Code Apps, vibe.powerapps.com and Generative Pages Microsoft combines the speed of AI with the security of an enterprise platform.
The message was clear: developing faster is no longer the biggest challenge. Developing reliably, yes.
3. The foundation becomes more important than ever
Perhaps the most important conclusion from EPPC was that organizations are increasingly looking for integrated AI solutions. The need is shifting towards a platform where AI can be deployed securely, managed, and scaled. This is where Microsoft Power Platform sets itself apart, in our opinion.
By combining Microsoft Entra ID, Dataverse, governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and extensive security capabilities, a foundation is created for organizations to innovate responsibly. Topics such as AI governance and cost management also received a lot of attention. As AI plays an increasingly significant role within organizations, understanding AI usage, credits, and costs is becoming ever more important. Not to slow down innovation, but precisely to maintain control over AI implementation.

4. From apps to agents. Or rather, apps and agents.
During one of the keynotes, one statement particularly stuck with me:
Apps are dead. Long live apps.
A stimulating statement, but the explanation behind it was at least as interesting. The expectation is not that applications will disappear. On the contrary. Agents will play an increasingly larger role, but users will continue to need clear applications and recognizable processes. Where agents can perform tasks autonomously, apps will remain important for control, interaction, and specific business processes.
The future, therefore, does not consist of either apps or agents, but of a smart collaboration between the two. New possibilities such as MCP integrations and the revamped Copilot Studio show how applications and AI agents are working together ever more closely.
What does this mean for Dynamics4Business?
During EPPC, one thing became very clear: developments are happening fast. That is why we are deliberately investing in knowledge, experimenting with new technologies, and sharing our insights internally.
During an internal keynote, we have now translated these developments into concrete applications within our own practice. For example, we are researching and utilizing new possibilities within our Smart Apps, including Smart Service, and we are looking at how AI, Copilot, and Agents can further strengthen our solutions. Because new technology is only valuable if you know how to translate it into practical applications that truly help organizations move forward.

“AI won't take your job. But people who know how to use it will.”
