Last Friday, a hackathon was organized at Dynamics4Business. Our consultants worked in multidisciplinary teams with one goal: to deliver a working app in one day.
The challenge
Building a solution for a fictional service company that still plans via Excel and phone calls, resulting in inefficient routes, double bookings, and limited customer communication.
It's up to the teams to make this smarter. For example, with a graphical planning app connected to Business Central and Dataverse, using up-to-date data from the ERP system. One requirement: the solution had to be developed as a Power Apps code app.
No extensive processes, but quickly to the core: an idea → a prototype → a short pitch.
During a quarterly meeting, all teams presented their solutions and a vote was held.
And the winners are…
Congratulations to the winning team of Jeannot Thewissen, Ivo Hensgens and Frank Raemakers. They delivered a planning app, with data integration and a sleek, user-friendly design, technically sound and convincing in the demo. It’s great to see what emerges when you bring different disciplines together and just start building.
